Be On MTV: MTV Has Opened Their Gates To All Talented Artists.

I had been dreaming about this inevitability for so many more Artists and Bands to be on MTV for years and kept my faith that one day MTV would reveal the true integrity of their efforts to showcase and support all Musicians, Bands, Artists, and Songwriters tirelessly working to spread their “gifts” (not to mention more than a little additional joy to the masses). I knew in my heart of hearts that MTV would come through and join the growing trend of a COMPLETELY altered music industry (in the Artist’s favor) and allow everybody a shot. Now it’s your turn, I’m going to tell you EXACTLY what you need to do join in on MTV online, but first I must once again mention the very first article I wrote on this web site in 2010 when I loosely stated that, thanks to iTunes and the like, the elitist musical playing field is open to all and you can proudly stand and showcase your work alongside the major labels (and perhaps secure a deal if that is your wish). Yes, now you can be on MTV (and their supporting networks).

Let me get right to the goodies. Go NOW to MTV online: MTV.com/Artists and set up your account. Once there, it will:

1.) Ask you if you are an Artist who wants to be on MTV. Click: Learn More.
2.) You will see a (wonderful!) page informing you that their brands are built off the power of music and that they’ve built a platform that puts the power in the hands of YOU, the Artist, while opening the doors for you to participate in MTV, VH1, and CMT and flat-out telling you that their Logo has never been more open to you! Click: “Step Inside” at the bottom of this screen.
3.) You will claim or create your Artist page where their television, editorial, and social networks drive fans to Artist pages. There, you will have opportunities to present your music video for consideration, soundtracks or songs that might be right for their shows (are you dreaming, yet?!), and create Artist banners to direct to where you make money, and even drive transactions right to your Artist or Band page to collect tips, sell merch, tickets, access analytics, and SO VERY MUCH MORE than I need to cover here. You can even sync music accounts with your MTV online account. Most importantly, you do not need a huge budget for equipment for a world-class recording, and signup with MTV online is free.
